This is a good blog that mixes commercial and practical together. They try to be practical, yet the commercial side of it does a good job to match you with a lawyer. Their product is a bit expensive for what it purports to be, but they clearly know what they are doing.

This is blog of blogs. Similar to what we are trying to do here, but for all kinds of lawyers, not just criminal. This blog does it the right way. The only thing they don’t do on their home page that would make it better is THEY don’t actually blog anything about blogging. Their blog is on a completely different page and they don’t talk much about legal blogging. Instead more about being a lawyer.

    Federal Presidential Pardon

This blog studies federal presidential pardons and tries to spin all the pardons in a skeptical light. The views are not intended to be in favor of one party or the other, but more poking fun at the overall political system of the pardon process.

I am the author of the federalpresidentialpardon.com so I am biased. I attempt to leave little one liners at the end of each entry in memory of Jerry Orbach’s character on Law & Order, Detective Lennie Briscoe.

    Bad Girls Crime Blog

This is an odd one. This blogger just talks about women who commit crimes. Kind of odd to me. Almost sexist. Nonetheless intriguing in that I guess there are people out there that think only men commit crimes. From my own experience, I can tell you that often times in domestic violence cases, I wonder why the woman is not arrested along with the man. For example, the neighbors call 911, cops show up, arrest husband. Why not arrest wife to, they were both fighting? I digress, still a bit odd of a choice, but definately worthy of the roll–I dig unique (bad girls, bad girls, whatcha gonna do, whatcha gonna do when they come for you).

    Western Justice

This is one of my favorite criminal law blogs. This guys must have been a lawyer in a major city somewhere in the United States then returned home to be the local District Attorney in a very small town. The irony is that he is very funny and makes jokes about himself and his job. The blog has a certain Northern Exposure feel to it that is truly unique. When you read the entries, you almost feel like you are there with him.

Ask a Philadelphia Criminal Defense Attorney a Question

This is my own blog, so I have to include it. People ask us questions, and if they are decent questions, we make a post with a question and answer format. Unlike most blogs, we try to differentiate ourselves by only covering topics that are relevant to our readers, not to us. A big complaint I here from other lawyers is that they don’t know what to write on their blogs but their internet guy/gal tells them, “just post.” This makes their blogs too formulaic and not interesting to the reader. Our goal was to be truly relevant to the legal community in which we practice and really make posts that would help non-lawyers better understand the law.

The information from my blog is below:
